Horta lunosa (ongoing)

Horta lunosa (‘garden full of moons’) is an ongoing creative research project presented to The Design Museum, London, in October 2026 as part of their ‘Gardens: Curiosity and Creative Research’ garden salon event held at the Dame Sylvia Crowe Garden.

My research looks at the range of moths attracted to a light trap placed in a garden and what these tell us about the habitats and (mainly native) plants that are needed to make a moth garden.

This project was inspired by my particular interest in entomology as well as current discussions within horticulture on how to influence behaviour change of gardeners towards valuing nature and wild plants,
